Common questions

Before you ask

Short answers to what people ask first. For the known rough edges on each platform, see the honest part on the home page.

Does this slow down my computer?

It shouldn't be noticeable. Bugline checks for new scores every so often and redraws one small strip — it isn't streaming video or running a game engine in the background.

If you want it gone for a while, Ctrl + Alt + S hides it and brings it back.

Which leagues and sports are supported?

Eleven: the NFL, college football, the NBA, the NHL, MLB, the Premier League, the Champions League, LaLiga, the Bundesliga, Ligue 1 and MLS. Switch on any combination — a Saturday of college football and a Sunday of NFL in the same strip, or just the one game you care about.

Is it free forever?

It's free to download and use, with no account and nothing to sign up for. There are no paid plans today.

How is fantasy scoring calculated?

The way each sport is usually scored: ESPN PPR for football, DraftKings for basketball and hockey, and Fantasy Premier League for soccer. Points come from the full box score, so a running back's receiving yards count too.

When you connect your own league, its matchups use your league's scoring settings instead.

Does it work with private fantasy leagues?

Sleeper leagues work as they are. ESPN leagues need to be set to public: League Settings → Make League Viewable to Public. A private ESPN league can only be read while signed in as a member, and Bugline won't ask for your ESPN account.

Can I use it on multiple monitors?

Yes — drag it onto whichever screen you want it on. It shows on one screen at a time.

Is my data or league info stored anywhere?

There's no Bugline account and no Bugline server collecting anything. Scores come straight from ESPN's public feeds, and league data straight from Sleeper or ESPN. Your settings and league link are kept on your own computer.
